i want holes in my shoes

Growing up and playing lots of tennis I recall having a couple holes here or there in my shoes, which finally indicated that I had to get new shoes. Let's take a 180 - I want new shoes complete with holes. Particularly the Banana boots to wear in spring with fun floral dresses and bold color skirts. I can almost hear the birds. Spring will be here soon enough, but until then I'll continue wearing sandals in my apartment in anticipation.
